London Huayu presenters Wang Weilin and Gao Han are presenting a bilingual show on Chinese underground music. Programme includes music from Car Sick Cars, Zuoxiaozuzhou, Cosmic Shenggy and Dead J and exclusive interviews from Car Sick Cars, and Shenggy. Also from Resonance, there is “Strip China Comics Now“, which covers an exhibition at the London College of Communications, (Opposite Elephant and Castle tube station). Here, Alex Fitch interviews a trio of artists exhibiting at the Manhua! China Comics Now exhibition at the London College of Communications - Yishan Li, Mr. Clement and Tim Yu discusses their art, their love of the comics medium and their influences. The show also includes excerpts from Paul Gravett’s introduction to the show, some of the live Chinese fusion music played live at the opening and an interview with China Now’s Jessica Potter about the importance of promoting comics as part of London’s 2008 festival of Chinese culture. 5pm, 13th March Resonance 104.4FM
