September 2007 we are beginning a new year of projects, live shows and more.
We are getting together and training several teams of reporters who will plan, interview, record and edit radio programmes for live broadcast, CD distribution and internet radio.

| 1 Sept 2007 | Using a minidisc recorder and microphone techniques | Recording 1 Recording 2 |
The session was really successful because at the end of it the trainees could make good quality recordings of people in noisy environments while keeping a good balance between the background and forground. Recordings were free of audio clipping.

| 8 Sept 2007 | Recording onto minidisk with a studio microphone, getting the sound into a computer, and basic editing and mixing using Audacity. |
The session was a little ambitious, but we have a tight schedule so this was necessary. Still, audacity is straightforward to use, and as it is free, the volunteers were able to install it on their home computers. One of the volunteers had finished hers by Wednesday… the standard is really good, especially after just two training sessions!
